BEGINNING BELLYDANCE

Stretch and tone your body while you learn this global, feminine art! The movements of belly dance will sculpt and firm your body, while increasing your stamina and grace, all without stress and fatigue. Belly dance also promotes weight loss by burning calories, building muscle, and stimulating your digestive system. Class will include warm-up, basic moves, techniques and choreography. All ages and body types welcome...check your inhibitions at the door!

These classes are for anyone interested in fusing American stylization into the beautiful art of belly dance.  In addition to other dance styles, the instructors use other sources of inspiration, such as music, art and costuming, to bring out the creative spirit in each student.  This class is for anyone looking to further their knowledge of belly dance while tapping in to personal creative expression.

TEAM BELLYDANCE

Improvisational Team Sync (ITS) belly dance, or ITS, is a combination-based form of Improvisational Team Fusion dance. It relies on a shared vocabulary of movements, each initiated by a distinct cue movement. The leader initiates the cue movement, then a short, choreographed combination, or Combo, is performed. These Combos can be done in any order,

and none of the dancers know ahead of time

what moves the leader will cue next.

I.T.S. is a specific style or school of global inspired bellydance. The term was first coined in 2006 by Amy Sigil of UNMATA to describe her Improv vocabulary.
